Hello & happy Friday!
It’s been a couple of weeks since I have done a FOUR FILM REVIEWS post but today, I’m writing one. However, instead of four film reviews, this time I will share a series recommendation and three film reviews. Let’s start!
SERIES RECOMMENDATION: THE 100

We began to watch The 100 quite a long ago. I had already read the book with the same name and Day 21 (the second book of the novel series). Even though the plot in the series is quite different from the book, it is still good and entertaining. At some points, it gets a little repetitive but in general, I recommend it if you want to watch a science-fiction series.
FRIDAY: BRIDGET JONES’S BABY

On Friday, we finally watched Bridget Jones’s Baby! We had been waiting for it to be on Netflix and it did not disappoint. If you have watched the two previous ones, you will like this one and you will laugh for sure! But I must say I missed Hugh Grant playing Daniel Cleaver. And even though I really liked this film, the first one still remains the best of the three.
SATURDAY: MARIE ANTOINETTE

This film directed by Sofia Coppola is for sure a good film. It is a historical drama film based on the life of Queen Marie Antoinette. It’s a film that from the beginning distinguish itself from all other movies. I think they did a really good job combining the modern and the old. The cinematography is excellent and it won an Oscar for Best Costume Design. If you haven’t watched it, I really recommend you to do so!
SUNDAY: THE ENGLISHMAN WHO WENT UP A HILL BUT CAME DOWN A MOUNTAIN

I really liked the simplicity of this film. It is set in a little village in Wales in 1917 and it explains a part of the village history. In my opinion, it gives importance to the everyday occurrences and it’s interesting that even though, it supposedly happens in the middle of World War I the focus is not in it. A great film to watch on a weekend afternoon or if you want to have a nice time.
These are the three films we watched last week and the series we are currently watching.
What are the films you have been watching? Let me know in the comments!
Love, M.
