To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before // Book Review

Hello everybody! Today I wanted to write a little book review since a few days ago I finished the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy written by Jenny Han.

For all of you who don’t know what these books are about, here’s a little synopsis. This young adult romance focuses on Lara Jean, a rather shy girl who keeps her love letters in a box. There are five in total, each of them addressed to each of the boys she has ever loved. Even though, she writes them, she has no intention in sending them, she writes these letters as a closure once she stops loving a boy. But everything changes when the letters are mysteriously sent.

I started reading this book at the beginning of the school year and I finished it within a month. So as you can tell, I really liked it and it kept me hooked. I had already watched the first movie Netflix made out of these books, but I still really enjoyed reading it. The book is written in a way which is so easy to read and it allows you to really empathize and relate to the character.

However, if I had to choose, my favourite book of the collection would most likely be the second one. Probably because I already knew what happened in the first book and the last one, is not that amusing, in fact, in my opinion, not many interesting things take place.

All this being said, I still would totally recommend reading the whole trilogy because the story might not be the most realistic one but it is so adorable and charming. If you like romantic novels, give it a go!

If you want to read more about the trilogy, here’s a link to its Goodreads’ page: And here you have the trailer of the first movie (the second one is coming next February):
