With Autumn starting in less than two weeks, it’s safe to say that the new fashion season is around the corner! And as usual, I’m really excited about all the new trends & clothes that are coming. But I’m even happier that I finally got to share with you a post that I have worked so hard on.
This is no other than my Autumn and Winter 2018/2019 trends! Because fashion month might be starting but we’ve known since the last fashion week what we will be wearing these months. So let’s start!
One of the biggest trend we’ll be seeing is the western inspired one, especially with cowboy boots which will be huge this season. But you can also rock this trend with “ponchos”, bandanas around the neck, fringe clothes or even in a more subtle way, with a statement belt.
The 80s, a trend that seems to always be present. This time we will be seeing lots of wide shoulders, bright colours, ruffle dresses, bleached jeans, big belts & polka dots. If you loved that era, I’m warning you, it’s coming back!
And we couldn’t miss the trend that seems to be taken over the fashion industry, and that’s the animal print. But not your typical print, this time it’s in literally everywhere from shoes to skirts to coats, blazers… And if wearing animal print wasn’t challenging itself, now you can find it in all sorts of colours, even red!
I think this trend is perfect for Autumn & I’m just in love about how it looks on coats. What’s cool about this trend is that you can wear it with everything and there are all sorts of colours. So make sure to invest in some tweed this season!
Especially in dresses, leather will be seen a lot this season. One combination I like a lot is black leather together with something white, it really makes both colours pop and the contrast looks amazing. But of course, the leather trend doesn’t stop in dresses, we will also see leather coats!
The best way to rock this trend has to be by wearing something metallic. But just as last season see through plastic will also be really in. On top, we will also be seeing holographic garments. The perfect trend for a night out!
As seen on the runway, mismatched earrings will be a thing this season. So if you lose one don’t worry, pair it with another! But keep in mind it has to be larger. Although it might be a little bit hard to wear this trend on daily basis, I think that it can look really cool for special occasions.
