Hello and welcome back to my blog!
Today I wanted to do a more quickly and personal post. That’s why I decided I will share with you some Q&A’s related to Christmas. This way you can get to know me better and know how I live the festive days. Let’s start!
Favourite thing about Christmas?
Probably that you get a break from school and that you can spend time with the family and doing the things you like. Also the cold weather!
A typical Christmas day at your home?
The first thing we do in the morning is have breakfast and then we make the “Tió” poop (for those who don’t know what this is, it’s a Christmas Catalan tradition). Then, we go to my grandmother’s house where we have lunch with the family. In the afternoon we visit my other grandmother and finally we go and watch a typical Christmas Catalan play called “Els Pastorets”. That’s my Christmas day!
How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
This year we went for red and gold decorations and colour lights. Oh! And the star is made of branches.
Hot or cold Christmas?
Definitely cold Christmas. I mean, a hot Christmas would be just so weird!
When do you open the presents?
So in Catalonia, we have this tradition to make a log poop which is called “Cagar el Tió”, this log will give you presents. So I do that on the 24th and 25th of Decemeber. But here we also have another tradition “Els Reis” who also bring presents to children and this happens during the night of the 5th of January.
Your favourite Christmas song?
I really can’t choose. I looove all of them!
One place that is not home where you would like to spend Christmas at?
Although it will feel so weird spending a Christmas in London or in a wood house on the mountains would be so cool.
One film to watch during the Christmas countdown?
Mmmmm… It has to be The Holidays or one that I watched recently called A Christmas Prince.
How is your advent calendar?
The typical one with chocolates! Love it!
A colour that represents Christmas for you?
I think it’s red. I just feel that many Christmas related things have this colour. And somehow when I see it, it makes me remember Christmas.
And these are all my answers! I hope you like reading the post and that now you feel a bit more into the Christmas spirit!
I also encourage you to answer these questions in your blog! I would love to read them!
Love, M.
