Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog!
Today I’m here to talk about 5 ways to edit your photos. I have recently been trying to improve my Instagram page (why are you still here? Go and check it out!) and with that, I have learned some cool ways to edit my photos.
So as usual, I want to share them with you! First, let me tell you that when it comes to editing my Instagram pictures I like to use VSCO. It’s such an easy app to use with magnificent results. Really recommend it! But I also have used other apps or webs for my blog like Picmonkey, Canva or Pixlr. And they all work really well!
Now let’s get into the 5 ways to edit your photos!
1. Black and white is always a good idea!
Yeah, it’s such a basic but it can look really good and make your photos look better. If you want to make it a bit more original you can look for an editor that allows you to fade the filter (I use Picmonkey for that). And your picture will have some colours, but it will be mainly black and white.
2. Make it look like a fashion magazine.
This option works really well if what you are sharing with the photo is your outfit. To make this kind of photo I use Pixlr and it’s as simple as adding a blank space on the side of your original photo and add some text with the outfit details there. Easy peasy!
3. My current editing process.
Here you have the steps I make on VSCO when it comes to editing my images for Instagram. Hope you find it useful!
I first choose the filter which is M5 and I turn it down until 8. Then I go to the editing tools and I turn down the exposure to -1,5. Now it’s time to also turn down the saturation to -1,5 and that’s it! There are only a few steps, but they make such a difference.
4. Give it a twist and go for Pop Art!
To make this type of edit I used the app Picsart which has so many incredible options that would allow you to create very original photos. Once you open the image you want to edit go to the filters option and choose Pop Art. There you will find different options, choose the PopArt 2 and you have the effect!
5. Write a quote…
You know, adding a quote to your photo is always a good idea. I think there are many apps or sites that allow you to add text to your photos but the one I used here was Canva. It’s a web to create graphics, but sometimes it can work really well when it comes to photo editing.
And that’s it for this post! I hope you liked it and that now you have more ideas when it comes to editing your photos!
Let me know in the comments how you like to edit your photos or what apps do you use. Also, if you leave me a link of your Instagram I will try to check it out!
Thanks for this interesting training.
