For today’s post I’m going to tell you my Top 5 favourite smells during the Christmas season. It will make me so happy if you also share yours with me! And to add it a more interesting touch, I have also found some candles from Bath And Body Works that perfectly recreate them. Let’s start with the post!

1. The smell of fresh trees like firs (Christmas tree).

When you have just set up your Christmas tree and it still has the freshness smell that involves all the house. Or when you go for a winter walk when it has just rained and it all smells like nature.

2. The smell permeating the house when you have done some handmade food like cookies.

You or someone in your family has decided to get creative and do some Christmas treat and all your house gets impregnated with that lovely smell of recently made food, it’s even better when it’s something sweet.

3. The smell of sweet things like vanilla, peppermint or “Turrons” a typical dessert.

It reminds me of all the long family foods that happen during this holidays. That normally ends with some yummy and sweet dessert. Like in Catalonia that it’s typical to eat “Turrons” and “Neules”. Which is your favourite dessert?

4. The smell of chocolate and especially if it is hot chocolate with marshmallows.

As I said in a previous post for me Hot Chocolate is an essential during the Holiday season and if it contains marshmallows even better! It will always keep you warm, but imagine in a candle, I will love to smell this!

5. And finally some citron smells like lemons and oranges.

Yes, I think that citron smells mostly orange are a most during Christmas. They give the perfect touch to many sweet things, but they are also delicious alone. They also give a more fresher to your foods or to your home.

I really think that Christmas is the time for sweet scents, but also some more fresh ones like trees and orange although, most people related them to summer. And of course is time to light your candle and enjoy all the Christmassy scents that are out during the holidays!
