How To Get Into The Christmas Spirit

Hello everybody! And welcome back to my blog! Today the 10th window of Blogmas by Marioness will be revealed! How is your Countdown to Christmas going so far? I hope it’s going well!

If you are new here let me give you a warm and Christmassy welcome! And be prepared to instantly feel the Christmas Spirit with this post, the other and my blog. I hope you liked it!

For today’s post I thought of giving you some simple instructions to really get into the Christmas Spirit. Because we are nearly to half way to Christmas is time to start feeling the Christmas feeling, if you haven’t already. You know, play some music, set up the decoration… It’s also going to work as a post compilation of all the Christmas posts I have already done. So let’s jump right into it!

1. PUT YOUR CHRISTMAS DECORATION

The first thing I will do is to set up all the Christmas things you have all around the house and decorate it for the Holiday season. In my house we decorate the Christmas tree, we spread some little decorations around the house like things hanging from the door and we also have the Nativity.

2. PLAY SOME MUSIC AROUND THE HOUSE

Meanwhile you put all your Christmas decoration why not play some of your favourite Christmas season and really feel the Christmas feeling. Also, I play Christmas music almost every moment and it has been the only thing we have heard in our house for the last couple of days.

So make a playlist with all your favourite songs or if you have no idea you can check out the list I made a few days ago: https://marioness.wordpress.com/2016/12/02/the-christmas-vibes-playlist/

3. MAKE SOME CHRISTMAS TREATS

It’s time to get in the kitchen and start doing some delicious Christmas treats. It’s always time to do this and you can also combine it with some Christmas songs. You can first look in Pinterest for some fancy ideas and then create them in your stoves.

4. SET UP A CHRISTMAS WALLPAPER IN YOUR PHONE OR COMPUTER

Having a Christmas wallpaper for me, it’s a little reminder that Christmas is nearly here, and if you are a Christmas lover (or not) it would make you happy every time you see it. There are many cute ones you can find and can suit everyone.

5. START PLANNING THE GIFTS YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE OR WHAT YOU WANT

Christmas is approaching so it’s time to think about all that and start planning it. When you start doing this you will instantly feel Christmas around you. It’s also something you have to start doing now if you don’t want to get overwhelmed when it’s only a couple of days until Christmas.

6. WATCH OR READ SOME FILMS OR BOOKS

Cold and dark evenings are here so a cozy way to spend them is by watching a film or book in your sofa with a blanket. And better if it is with some Christmas related thing. I made a Christmas compilation with some films and books for you over here: https://marioness.wordpress.com/2016/12/02/christmas-books-and-films/

7. START DOING SOME TYPICAL CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS IN YOUR COUNTRY

By that I mean to start doing those traditions that are only celebrated in your country or region. I always find it so interesting to know more about it, that’s why I made a post talking about the ones we celebrate here in Catalonia.

8. DO SOME COOL CRAFTS

When Christmas arrives is time to do the things you haven’t been able to do through the day and that also means crafts. I normally search trough Pinterest for some inspiration and then try to do it. And when you finish you can give it to your family or friends as a Christmas present.

I also really like scrapbooking, here you have a post about how to do some fancy tags for your presents: https://marioness.wordpress.com/2016/12/06/christmas-scrapbooking/

my father was from Barcelona – alas, somehow he didn’t learn about the shitter & the shitting log until just a few years before he passed away a few years ago

would love if you told us more about them, including your thoughts 🙂
